OC Detectives, Inc. is a full service private investigations agency owned and operated by CEO and Qualified Manager, William J. Hunt. We offer a wide array of professional investigative services to our clients. We are based in Orange County, California. Mr. Hunt is a licensed private investigator by the State of California, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. His professional background includes 25 years of law enforcement experience, including three years as a U.S. Army Military Police officer, one year as an Auxiliary Police Officer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and twenty-two years of increasingly responsible law enforcement experience with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, where he retired at the rank of Lieutenant. During his law enforcement career Mr. Hunt gained extensive experience in fugitive tracking and apprehension while working as a patrolman, an investigator assigned to a directed enforcement team targeting career criminals, a narcotics investigator, and as supervisor of the Sheriff’s Department’s gang enforcement unit. His experience also includes security and corrections, criminal investigations, under cover operations, stationary and mobile surveillance techniques, interview and interrogation techniques, report writing, courtroom testimony, SWAT, dignitary protection, case management, supervision and management. |
Mr. Hunt’s last assignment with the Sheriff’s
Department was Chief of Police Services for the City of San Clemente,
California, where he managed the day to day operations of police services
including oversight of a $9.8 million dollar budget and management
of a staff of 56 personnel. His education includes a Bachelor
of Science in Business and Management from the University of Redlands
and a Masters in Arts from California State University Dominguez Hills
in Behavioral Science.
Mr. Hunt's professional memberships include the California Association of Licensed Investigators, (CALI), The Professional Investigators of California Association, (PICA), The Southern California Fraud Investigators Association, (SCFIA) and the American Society for Industrial Security, International, (ASIS International), the United States Professional Bail Bond Investigators Association, (USPBBIA), and the National Notary Association, (NAA). |
